Nominations open for the 5th IARS Youth Awards in Celebration of International Youth Day

The IARS International Institute in partnership with the youth-led 99% Campaign mark the celebration of International Youth Day 2016 by announcing their 5th Annual Research and Youth Leadership Awards 2016. In this spirit, the IARS Research and Youth Leadership Awards 2016, now in its 5th year, aspire to celebrate, empower and reward remarkable young people and their youth initiatives locally, nationally and internationally that aim to contribute to our mission and vision and lay the foundations of youth civic engagement. Dr. Theo Gavrielides, Founder and Director of the IARS International Institute said: “We are very pleased to open these awards once again. We started them on the back of the riots to counter argue that young people are not the problem in our modern, individualised societies and to raise the mirror of responsibility where we can and should. This is IARS and the 99% campaign’s mantra and mandate, and we hope that this year the awards will be bigger than ever”. Call for Nominations Individuals and organisations are invited to nominate young people with leadership credentials, genuine youth-led initiatives and aspiring youth projects that generated positive outcomes for their communities for the following categories; The Community Leader Award The Peacemaker of the Year Award The Youth Research Project Award Youth...
