Join our Youth Advisory Board in 2017

The IARS International Institute’s Youth Advisory Board (YAB) is recruiting up to 20 new members for 2017! If you wish to apply, please send your CV and a brief Cover Letter to A.Ntziadima@iars.org.uk – Recruitment is open on a rolling basis and we always welcome new applications. Candidates should ideally be available for an initial meeting on the 11th of January. The YAB is an integral part of IARS and its members hold much prestige at IARS and with our members and partners internationally. The YAB influences the strategic direction of the Institute, works alongside the Trustee Board and supports the IARS Founder and Director. Members get invited to IARS’ events free of charge while there are opportunities for paid placements abroad. See example here, and through our role as a Eurodesk UK partner. All members will recieve travel reimbursement for their travel expenses. The YAB will also receive accredited training. Communities join forces to celebrate and reward our inspirational young people and their work    5th IARS Annual Research and Youth Leadership Awards Ceremony 2016 announced The IARS International Institute in partnership with the 99% Campaign are pleased to announce their 5th Annual Research and Youth Leadership Awards that will be taking place on 8 December 2016, 5pm at the Roxy Bar and Screen, 128 – 132 Borough Street, SE1 1LB. Dr. Theo Gavrielides, IARS Founder and Director, said: “Over the last few months, we have witnessed rising levels of discrimination, racism and hate crimes locally, nationally and internationally. Brexit, the US elections and the global trend of viewing the “other” with suspicion are all new phenomena that present us with challenges. Here at IARS we see them as opportunities for action and unity. This event followed the same philosophy as it was inspired in the aftermath of the London riots in 2011 and with the intention of making something good out of something bad. If you believe in this approach, then join us to celebrate and reward together.” For 5th consecutive year, this unique youth-led event will bring together local communities to celebrate and reward aspiring young leaders and their projects who strengthen and unite their communities.
